Ground glass measures 2” x 2” square (no plate holders). Camera base is only 10-1/2” long x  3-3/4” wide x 4-1/4” tall. No markings on the lens or optical glass. Camera purchased from a French family living near Saint-Loup-de-Varennes. Close to the home of Maison Nicéphore Niépce (first photograph/heliograph in history) - one of the principle architects  toward the invention of photography by Daguerre in the late 1830s.
